Township Board Meetings are held the third Monday of each month at 8:00 PM at the Munson Town Hall located at 23857 County Road 23, Richmond. If a federal holiday falls on the third Monday, the meeting will be held on the third Tuesday of the month at 8:00 PM. If you would like to address the board on an issue, please call the clerk 320-597-2432 or email munsontownshipclerk@outlook.com, to be placed on the agenda.

at 8:00 PM at the town hall located at 23857 County Road 23 in Richmond.
Munson Township lies in the south-central part of the county, and has an area of 23,040 acres. The surface is chiefly rolling prairie, but the meandering Sauk River adds a number of small lakes and some larger bodies of water, namely Big Lake and the Horseshoe Chain of Lakes.
According to the United Census Bureau, Munson Township has a total of 37.6 square miles, or which 34.6 square miles of it is land and 3.0 square miles of it is water. The elevation is 1,089 ft.
According to the 2010 census, there was a population of 1466 individuals living in Munson Township, comprising 563 households residing in the township.
Driving through the township you will find a number of hobby farms with horses, small farm animals, plus elk and buffalo farms too. You will also see the traditional mix of full-time farmers and some residents who enjoy living on lakeshore.
